“Black is beautiful” encompasses a wide array of meanings and contexts. It does not only pertain to racial colors or social stratification. Black is beautiful in all essences of black’s omnipresence. Black cat, black suit, black pants, black dress, black bag, black shoes, black sheets, black car, black walls, black undergarments, black tops, black shirts, black pen –everything black is truly beautiful.

Black should be carefully differentiated from darkness. Although black is the color of darkness, the ideas differ in great variations. Depending on contextual usage and shared meanings, black is not exclusively a property of gloom and doom. Black can be bliss. It can be serenity. It can be an elusive pause needed by millions in this everything-rush-and-fast world. Most of all, black is class and beauty of immeasurable depth.

Sure, there are handful of negative meanings associated with the color black. Well, to be politically correct, black is not a color but actually the absence of any color; a direct opposition to white as the presence of all colors. Anyway, black in traditional connotation is mostly associated with unpleasant ideas. Black is mourning, slavery, doom, plague, demonic forces, bad omen, and a whole lot more that are tangential to man’s immortal desire for goodness. However, the link between the color black and the negatives associated with it are not logically founded. As with other words and terms that vary in contextual meanings, the color black is also an element under the mercy of social and cultural conventions. We should not fault cultures and societies associating black with everything that is negative. But we should also not fall prey to the self-defeating box that confines the horizon of black.

Black is also seen as an element of impeccable elegance. It speaks of steadfast authority, strong will, courage, determination, and unwavering belief. In some tribes of Tanzania, Kenya, and other African countries, black is the color of rain clouds that signify the start of– rain, irrigation, farming, harvest– life. In institutions of higher learning, government agencies such as the judiciary, and many formal organizations, black is perceived as order, discipline, propriety, and formality. Prestige is another positive association to the color black. More limousines and luxury cars come in black than any other color. In martial arts and self-defense disciplines, black belt is the highest level one can attain. It is almost, if not totally, being perfect. Most evidently, black is associated to the fashion world’s stylishness and class.

Probably the best way to realistically appreciate the mystery of the color black is to see how great it works for women. Evening gowns, dresses, simple tops, shirts, skirts, jeans, bags, stilettos, and pumps in color black make great wonders for women more than any color can. It highlights curves and conceals flabs, it focuses not on unwanted areas and draws more attention on women’s assets. It pulls attention but not insult or rudeness. It makes one’s presence felt and noticed. Most especially, black makes swimsuits easier to wear for women concerned about their body shapes.

Black swimsuits make the already sexy even sexier and make the not-so-sexy fellas considerably curvy. Try watching swimsuit portions of beauty pageants, bikini contests, and classy movies and you are sure to spot black swimsuits in a good light. Some come in total black while others are accentuated with stripes or minor prints of contrasting hue. Be it a two-piece bikini wear or a one-piece swim wear, black is a constant color parading in beach shores and resorts all over the world. Renowned celebrities and world-class models are often seen sporting black swimsuits in photo shoots and vacation getaways.

What is the best handgun for a woman to have?

Something stupid simple to maintain, and comfortable. The Sig 226 is a reliable hi capacity and comfortable handgun. On the other hand, revolvers are really simple but not always the most comfortable. I would recomend going to a gun store with a large selection of hand guns because not all guns fit your hand the same. Hold various makes and models and see if any really feel good in your hand. (another words, what's comfortable for me isn't always going to be comfortable for you). With automatics, a lot of the recoil is absored by the slide. My wife carries an EAA Witness in .45 acp Its in the CZ75 family of guns and is very comfortable. Bersa also makes a fairly inexpesive but yet stupid simple pistol called the Bersa Thunder I used to own one till my brother talked me into selling it to him. (my wife loved the rear sights on it and the way it handled plus, the weight wasn't too heavy). They come in .380, 9mm, 40S&W or .45acp. They breakdown the same way a Sig does and like the Sig the Bera also has a 'decock feature'. Truth be known, .45acp dosn't really have very much more recoil then a 9mm. But, there is a significant difference in knock down power. (another words, in a self defense situation you might fire your whole magazine with the 9mm but only maybe half if you fired the 45acp to get the same results). As far as revolvers, I recomend geting one that shoots both .38 or .357 mag. .38 special Is a great target round but the 357mag is a much better personal defense round. If you need to defend yourself, you won't notice the extra recoil at the time. (too much adrenoline). Just remember that if in the end you buy a revolver in a .38 caliber don't run 357mag through it unless it specifically has been designed to do so. (these revolvers will usually have some marking on the body stating this feature).
Glocks maybe light but they sometimes are difficult to breakdown when cleaning is needed. A lot of women I've known liked to light weight feature and not awhole lot more so, you may want to stay away from them as well.
What you need to remember most is this, the handgun is a extention of you, your arm etc.. so it is important that it fit comfortably in your hand and feel as if it is an extention of you. Never buy a gun just because it looks nice or is pretty. You are the one who will use it weather in self defense or in target practice so, your opinion is the only one that really matters when you finally make a purchase descision.

I got my experience from owning my own gun store.
